Moscow Fabric Primer functions as a coating or base paint for fabric painting. It is designed to seal the fabric’s pores so that the paint you apply does not soak through or penetrate the fabric, making the painting process easier.
This primer is very elastic and flexible, so it won’t make the fabric stiff and will not fade when washed. It is suitable for painting on materials such as cotton, canvas, denim, linen, wool, and many others.
Being water-based, it can be thinned with water and can be combined with either acrylic paint or textile (fabric) paint.
How to Use:
Apply the primer evenly onto the fabric surface using a brush, then let it air dry or use a hair dryer. Once dry, your fabric is ready to paint.
After you finish painting, for the best results, you can hot press it using an iron. Place wax paper or baking paper on top of the painted area, then iron over it for 30–60 seconds.
This hot-pressing process helps bond all layers of paint with the primer, resulting in a smoother finish and preventing the paint from peeling off during washing.
